Happy Wednesday Peaches! I know you’re probably thinking…”wow, two posts in two days from this girl, how!?” haha. It’s true, I haven’t been able to post as much as I would like to in the past how many ever months but the truth is I actually made some really big lifestyle changes so I can finally give the time and love to my blog I would like to.
If you know me in my personal life you know that I usually not only have my plate full but I have it over stuffed like a starving person at a buffet. I am just a person that has always done this to myself. In high school I always played 3 sports (which at my high school was a huge time commitment), while usually being involved in 4-5 clubs, while also maintaining school work, sometimes a job, and somewhat of a social life. Now in college, the same is true except instead of sports and clubs, my time has been filled with full time jobs and internships on top of usually taking 6-7 classes and volunteering at other fashion related events when possible…oh that’s right and while trying to find time to create, shoot and write content for this lovely little hobby of mine- Peaches ‘N Creme.
Well, the time has come where I finally am fed up with always saying “Man, I wish I had time to post more, “Or, wow it would be really nice if my blog was this way.” Along with just wanting to be able to create new content, I know that the quantity and quality of content has direct correlation with the statistics of your blog. Not that I have been a huge stat checker of this page (but I would like to be going forward) I would love to watch this page grow and see what it’s potential is because when I am raw and honest with myself this is where my passions lie. So when I speak with any other fashion professionals what they tell me is- Is that it is ALL ABOUT CONSISTENCY. And I think it is time I give that to PNC.
So I have been having these feelings for awhile now right? Well, at the beginning of this semester I decided that I was not going to continue/take on another internship, but instead treat this blog like my second job really. (Yes, unfortunately still a second job… maybe one day I won’t have to have a job at all and I could just do blogging we will see about that though.) But so far, I am just 3 weeks into the semester and it really has been so nice having more time. Plus, remember my last post? This whole lifestyle switch is right in line with my goals for 2017.
My goals for 2017 were to create series of systems in my life instead of solid planned out goals to get me to where I want to be. With freeing up some time in my life, this allows room to dedicate specific times and days (aka a system) that certain posts will be uploaded instead of just sporadic ones through out the month being shared only when I felt I had time. Also, this opens up more opportunity for me to do collaborations with other bloggers, photographers, brands etc whatever opportunities come this way. I really am excited for this and to see what it will bring!!
Well, I always love to give you guys a little insight into what my current head space looks like so that is it for now! With all of that said, I would like to also share this style post with ya’ll. The weather has been absolutely crazy in NYC lately but before the huge snow storm hit I was able to shoot this super fun look at the Brooklyn Bridge (one of my always classic/favorite locations.) It was so nice out this day that I wasn’t actually freezing while shooting.
In this look I am wearing some pieces from my current “most-loved” online shops. First, is this oh so comfy off-the shoulder black knit sweater from Tobi. Almost every sweater I bought this fall has been from Tobi. Next, are these jeans…they are actually from when I lived in Italy I bought them from a cute Parisian brand called Sisley. This was one of my favorite/preferred brands while in Europe. Good news is…they have an online shop here! Next is….these shoes! OMG, obsessed. I got so many compliments on these. I mentioned before on here that I am totally about this velvet trend and how bad ass of a twist do these boots give on this whole idea. These baddies are from Public Desire. Definitely a must shop for some killer shoes!
Well, I hope you lovelies all have a great rest of your week and definitely keep an eye out for more posts coming sooner than later! Xoxo 😉
