Good Afternoon everyone!! Anyone that knows me knows how much I LOVE the Fourth of July and how much fun I have celebrating it. Last year I shared for the first time on my blog how important the Fourth is to my family and if you follow me on snap chat you got to see a little bit of how we celebrate. It is so fun that no matter where in the world or the country or the state my family members and I live we all make it a point to come together and celebrate. Even if we all have to work we will at least all be together even if it is just for the morning or the evening.
Anyways, below are some of the outfits and pieces that I sported for the holiday. I share two total looks, details of the pieces, and further down is a little bit more of a sneak peak of my family enjoying the holiday weekend…oh plus a little bonus feature I can’t wait for ya’ll to see ;)….
Top and headband are from Drygoods, current store that I am shopping at the most. The jeans are Sisley, I am obsessed with the perfect distress on them, the fun fringe booties are a Target special, and the dainty little necklace that I wear almost everyday was a birthday gift from the besties and is a Kate Spade. I will link these all further on.
Back details of this top, I am totally crushing on. I wore it alll weekend haha. Also, this gives a nice peak at the fun fringe on the back heels of the booties.
I am so blessed to have a family that has showed me the importance in such tradition such as the Fourth of July for us. I also believe that this is simply how many families are from where I grow up. It’s sort of a midwest way of life. On a holiday like the Fourth everyone all comes together and heads up to their cabin or lake house or whatever lake their family holds dear. It is just part of growing up in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, that is Minnesota.

Speaking of lake living, in case you don’t follow my Instagram or snapchat I posted a photo the other day that stated in my 22 years of living I have never spent the Fourth anywhere else but our family lake house. I also think, no actually I know, this is why I love this holiday so much. This is a house that my mom and uncle grew up in and I grew up going to every summer so the memories it holds is endless. Here are some photos of the actual lake!
Up at Lake Sylvia, we started the morning by heading into the town’s main street because this is a small town Minnesota we are talking about haha. We caught a little bit of the parade but to be honest we mostly went in so we could get the loaded Bloody Mary’s (garnished with a pickle spear, 3 pieces of shrimp, celery, an olive stuffed with cheese, and a pepper) which are always delicious. We headed back to the house and enjoyed a day on the water, cruising on the pontoon, I took D (for those of you that are new that is my boyfriend (also pictured above in all of the red white and blue haha)) on a jet ski for the first time which was hilarious and a blast all in the same time. We kayaked for a bit and then of course prepared for a dinner that was made on the grill. My uncle always grills for us. He has a famous marinated shrimp recipe and he also makes the BEST burgers and brats I have ever tasted…no lie. Then we usually end the evening by watching the sunset and taking one last evening/night boat ride and watching fireworks. In between all of that we usually have a bunch of yard games going too so there is always a lot to do and results in a good time had by all.
On that note, here is my second look….

Oh and the feature that you all have been waiting for haha…. he doesn’t even know I am doing this in this post, but I did this one other time on the blog and he didn’t seem to mind too much so here are some photos of what Deon wore for the Fourth of July. I would actually LOVE to eventually add more men’s style inspo especially because I have the most perfect model for it 😉 so here is to the beginning of that maybe…
