Holla At My Boss Ladies!

Good morning guys! This post is dedicated to Women’s History Month, which you may or may  not know is happening as you read this. In America and around the world, March is the month to celebrate the brave, bold, and beautiful woman that laid the ground work for us ladies in the past so that we can continue to hit the ground running now and further in the future. I wanted to share a few pictures of how Peaches ‘N Creme has been involved in participating in this month. I truly believe now is the perfect time to relish and reflect on how awesome it is the be a women in today’s world but to also really step back and look at the work that still needs to be done in liberating and empowering our fellow sisters. On March 8, I helped march in UN Women’s walk for International Women’s day, where people came from around to speak up about justice on things like gender equality, the fight for non violence, sexual rights, and several other human rights. I was able to do this through a group I am a part of in my school called Half The Sky at FIT. This is an organization that aims to bring together women from various majors in my school, to create a community for mutual support and empowerment. Half The Sky, however, is a global movement that is cutting across platforms to ignite the change needed to put an end to the oppression of women and girls worldwide. Through this club, we aim to bring awareness to gender inequality issues still present in our environment, as well as engage in multiple community service activities to help other women in need. “With passion and courage women have taught us that when we band together to advocate for our highest ideals, we can advance our common well-being and strengthen the fabric of our nation.”
