Trend Break down @ #MBFW Spring 2015

It’s exciting to live in the city that kicks off the season of fashion weeks all around the world. Here in New York City it is no secret that the fore front of fashion trends are first spotted down the catwalks during this exciting week. Hundreds of trends are birthed and rebirthed, but there happened to be a few that I felt necessary to highlight.

1. The Spring Coat- I am a lady who loves layers so no wonder here why I was excited to see this trend repeatedly on models this season.

2. Retro 70s Trend- This is a trend that I kept seeing down the runways, at first I wasn’t the biggest fan but then the more bright prints, wide legs, and A line skirts I saw I was finally convinced. This has definitely become one of my favorite trends that I will be watching throughout this winter.

3. American Sportswear- I am a girl that is all about fashion and functionality, this is why I love the sportswear look. Casual wear is becoming way more acceptable in formal settings such as work or out at a dinner party. Years ago woman would have never dreamt of wearing sneakers with dresses or skirts or mixing their tailored suits with heels but it is being seen everywhere now. Here a few designers really embraced this trend to bring it into spring/summer 15.

The minimalist yet functional take on sportswear was a trend I hadn’t expected. Good call!
